However, samlors are not available in all cities especially in Bangkok where it has been banned.

Boats and ferries are also available in Thailand to transport you to other cities and islands. Public boats and ferries along the Chao Phraya river are inexpensive and are more pleasant than metered taxis. Chartered boats are often used as tourist rides to explore the Thai canals.

Probably the most interesting transport method in Thailand is the elephants. However, they are only used in countryside, often for tourists, since the use of them as transport has been already banned in Bangkok.
