Packing Up for a Trip to Thailand

Sufficient preparation is the key to enjoying a stress-free holiday in the aforementioned tropical destination. So, before you board the passenger plane headed for Bangkok, see if you packed these in your luggage:

  • Photocopy of your passport
  • As required by Thai law and international tourism regulations, foreign travellers are required to carry this essential document along with a photocopy at all times for identification and other legal purposes.

  • Multiple cash cards
  • If you plan to use ATMs to get spending money in Thailand, bring more than just one card. Store each of them in different places so if one ever gets stolen, you will not end up penniless.

  • Mosquito Repellent
  • Because these blood-sucking pests are in abundance in the tropics, do not forget to have this specialised lotion in handy wherever you go in this Southeast Asian country.

  • English-Thai Dictionary
  • While it is easy to get by without knowing a word or two in Thai in cities and hotels frequented by foreign tourists, having this language guide will come in handy in off-road locations where the locals' command of English is limited.

  • Extra Luggage
  • With Thailand being a paradise for bargains, you will definitely get hooked with your hunt for cheap travel souvenirs here. However, bring an extra bag so you can bring home all the treasures you bought from local shops.

  • Clothing for the Hot Weather
  • Because you get to enjoy a lot of sun in this Asian country, your wardrobe should contain lots of light and airy attires like tee shirts and shorts. A decent pair of trousers and a lightweight jacket is a must, too, especially when you plan to go trekking up north in Chiang Mai.

Besides these, another thing that you need to prepare for when visiting Thailand is your accommodation. Now, if you wish to find one in the aforementioned culturally significant northern city, book a decent place through our website!
